Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapists (OTs) facilitate the development of life skills to help children participate meaningfully and independently in daily activities, including self-care, play and school participation. Our OTs work with children, parents, educators and others to develop an intervention program that best meets the needs and individual goals of the child.

Therapy sessions work on a range of skills including:

  • Self-care

  • Gross motor

  • Fine motor 

  • Visual motor 

  • Attention

  • Emotional regulation

  • Play 

  • Social 

  • Sensory

Intervention may include:

  • Developing a child’s skills and abilities

  • Modifying the environment

Group Programs

Our programs aim to develop a child's independence and skill-set through a range of play-based activities. The group programs focus on promoting essential life skills including social communication, emotional regulation, sensory processing and self-care skills. Up Therapy Services has a team of dedicated therapy assistants who work closely with our therapists to plan and deliver intervention programs. Therapy assistants receive ongoing training, support and supervision to ensure your child receives the highest quality therapy sessions at a reduced rate.
